French Bulldog Adoption

Are you thinking about a French Bulldog Adoption?  If you are I encourage you to look for local shelters or local French bulldog rescues first.  There are many dogs out there that need a good home like yours.  French bulldogs can be stubborn sometimes and can be hard to train.  Here is some other information for you to consider when Adopting a french bulldog.

Puppy Or Adult

Most people assume that when they get a dog that they will just get a puppy.  but consider getting an adult dog for a while.  Sure they may not be as cute as a puppy, but they are already trained.  Puppies require a lot of time to housebreak and train.

Also adult dogs have all their vaccinations already and are already spayed and neutered.

Rescue or Shelter

Getting your dog from a rescue might be better than from a shelter.  Often times with rescues you have more a history on the dog and will likely know if it has any health or behavior problems.

Dogs in shelters are their for unknown reasons and while most make great dogs, there is always an unknown.

Finding French Bulldog Adoptions

French Bulldogs are not as common as other dogs so finding one to adopt can be hard.  Call your local shelters and rescues and ask them to keep an eye out for French Bulldogs that come in.

Sometimes you might be lucky and they already have one, or know where you can find one.

After Adoption

Remember to take your dog to the vet within the first few days for a full inspection.  This way you can find out if your dog has any potential health or genetic problems.

Most places let you return dogs if the vet finds a problem with them in the first few days of French Bulldog adoptions.
